(Kingston, Jamaica) Up and coming Dancehall recording artist Dwayne Newby more popularly known as Rollie Fresh is now gearing up to promote his latest effort, an insightful remix of hip hop superstar Lil Wayne’s chart topping hit “How To Love“.
According to Fresh the remix entitled “Leaders Nah Nuh Love” which highlights social issues affecting the everyday Jamaican was recorded late last week. “The whole idea for the song came to me after I was listening to Wayne’s original and thought to myself a yard version of the song would be a good medium as a voice for the people suffering. I recorded the song that same day and after sending the demo to a few associates just for sampling the response was positive, everyone loved it so i went back and added some melody and gave it a professional mix”.
While not an official single Rollie believes the nature of the songs topic will get the attention of the public and music fraternity. “Well really this song talks about injustice and oppression of the people you know, I say a lot of things other artists might be afraid to say but in reality its all true, we not seeing any love from our leaders so is a song from the heart and I know radio jocks gonna give me some play on this one”.
Still working on exclusive tracks for his own label Above The Average Records, Rollie Fresh is also pushing his brand new video for the singles “Neva Kno” and “Good Life” to the forefront. The video’s was shot by Terminal 4 Media and is currently in rotation on several local and international TV stations.
