[ Soca ] Scrappy Drops 2 New Singles: “Slow Wine” & “Put Dem Up”

Garvin Scrappy Johnson is no stranger to music. His love for music since the age of 5 led him to win the first ever Jr calypso competition in Montserrat at the age of 11. Since then Scrappy has been flying high on the Soca radar in England and Europe. His brand new songs out NOW called “Slow Wine” and “Put Dem Up” are in heavy rotation on the airwaves.

Always one to give back he recently started a new charity in Montserrat called R.E.A.D (REWARD EDUCATION AND DETERMINATION ). The Charity is geared toward advancing education among the youth in his home island Montserrat. According to Scrappy; “Growing up there were certain things I wish I had now that I am in a position to help. I want to make sure everybody gets a fair chance at a good education.”

Currently Scrappy is headlining his new band called Tropical Storm and they are set to begin touring in England as early as next month. Definitely look out for his new ALBUM S.O.C.A (SOUL OF CARIBBEAN ARTFORM); available in all major online stores for digital download!!!

Scrappy and Tropical Storm headlined at Manchester Carnival in the U.K and Alliougana Litfest in Montserrat and won the 2011 CALABASH AWARDS – BEST U.K SOCA ARTIST. That’s Right Scrappy is on the Rise and there is No Turning Back!
