The Scorpio 21 team recently directed the video for Tarrus Riley’s latest single, Start Anew, which was produced by Shane Brown.
Start Anew speaks about domestic violence. According to Riley, he wrote the song because of frequent reports about the subject matter all over the media.
Miss Jamaica World title holder and Digicel Rising Stars host Yendi Phillips, played the lead female role in the video.
The video shoot took place in sections of Kingston including Verandah at Pulse and the Four Seasons Hotel. Riley explained the concept of the video. “The video is a replica of the song. It’s about a bredrin and his woman who look good on the outside but on the inside things are not so nice. The music business is very visual these days and we wanted to get the point across,” said Riley.
Riley’s second album for VP Records is expected out during the first quarter of next year.
