The Game Ordered To Anger-Management For Family Funeral Brawl

The Game was let off on battery charges on Tuesday (September 30), stemming from fight that took place during a family funeral back in July.

According to TMZ, a judge dismissed charges the rapper (real name: Jayceon Taylor) faced, under the condition he attends 36 anger-management meetings by February 2009.

He was facing jail time, but dodged the bullet.

The charges stem from an incident at the funeral of his cousin. Game reported punched the brother, Kirky, of his dead cousin after getting into an argument following the funeral over its costs.

Kirky (real name: Robert Kirkwood) filed a police report following the altercation. He claims the superstar rapper agreed to finance the funeral services, etc., but when it came time to fork over the cash, he left his family high and dry.

Game, however, tells a much different story. He says that his family tried to extort money from him, using the funeral as an excuse.

He says he offered to pay for the casket and flowers, but they rejected the offer. Instead, they wanted Game to pay for the entire funeral.

“I feel like they were just trying to play me out of [$17,000],” he said during an interview on Arizona’s 98.3 radio station back in July. “I talked to my mom about it. My mom said ‘you should pay for the casket and the flowers, if you wanna do anything.’ They rejected that because they wanted me to pay for the whole thing.”
