Kingston, Jamaica:- Toi, The TEENage “Muss Buss” pop flavoured Dancehall / Reggae / R&B singer, songwriter & producer who recently hit the Top 40 R&B Charts.com with her single “All Night Party” remix with Konshens; As well as multi-platinum producer Don Corleon (Sean Paul ft. Keyshia Cole – Give It Up To Me) have joined their creative forces together to deliver a “Love Like This” on Corleon’s Minor Riddim, which will be released globally on iTunes on Tuesday August 24, 2010.
Don Corleon who’s real name is Donovan Bennett expressed his excitement about the single by posting on popular social networking website, Twitter, “Mmmmm mi sure @toimuzik (Toi’s twitter username) a go buss off Minor Riddim her tune sickkkkkk 1 of my favorites”. He also expressed that, he will surely be working with Toi and this is not the last time you will see a single from the two.
The single, “Love Like This” is a serenade of love that speaks to the love a female has for her significant other. Toi explains, “it’s better to have loved & lost… to never to have loved at all”, which depicts the content of the song. A girl that is captivated with love, “I never knew bliss like this exist” is how Toi pens & expresses the feeling. Not the kind of expression one would expect from a typical 18 year old, but Toi isn’t the typical which also goes for her recording engineer & producer Sean Ricketts of Calibur Entertainment who both did an excellent job in recording the single in Florida.
From all forecasts locally, overseas, within & outside of the entertainment industry, the world is bracing & embracing Toi as big things are expected from this young, blooming and extremely multi-talented musician. Her Youtube channel has jumped significantly from less than 100 to over 15,000 fans in just one month after her single “All Night Party” remix hit the Top 40 R&B Charts. Though a promising accomplishment thus far, Toi takes her work seriously, “I am currently in Florida studying music business & production. I want to understand the business side of producing & performing so I can be an asset to my managment (Brian Hugh + Marlon Gichie) & production teams. Talent is key, but how to manage it and effectively market such talents are what will make the difference which I intend to be”.
The single, “Love Like This” is currently receiving regular airplay by Dj Wayne on Irie FM since August 20 prior to it’s release on iTunes on August 24. On hearing Toi, a few fans expressed, “Luv it Toi… it’s a hit… I luv being a fan!”, “YOU R AMAZING! I HOPE U GET SUPER FAMOUS! U DESERVE IT! :)”, “love the song…it’s great”, “pull upppppppppppppppppppppp the tune a shot this one yah a go buss her globally memba that”.
Toi, who’s real name is Toian Gichie was recently on a short vacation in Montego Bay with her family & close friends who returned to Florida on August 23. Her visit included a check up with her doctor, where she received good news, that she has fully recovered from her near fatal January 2009 car accident, and surgery is not required to remove the pins in her left leg. Though filled with mixed emotions, Toi says “I am excited, I can’t wait to get back to Florida & into the studio; creativity in my veins coming out through my pours”.
