Trinidad Jame$ on Internet Slander Over “Uptown Funk” Grammy

Trinidad Jame$ won a Grammy for “Record of the Year” for his role as a “sample songwriter” on Bruno Mars’ hit song, “Uptown Funk” earlier this year, and despite the big win, some people slandered him online for getting a certificate and not a trophy. The Atlanta-bred artist addressed the situation during a recent interview with VladTV, and he jokingly added that “the internet is always there to slander Trinidad Jame$,” but he added that the experience at the Grammys was great.

During the conversation Trinidad also spoke about not being afraid to be different with his style, and he cited Prince as being at “the pinnacle of fashion freedom” during his career. He also touched on Young Thug, as he points out that the Slime Season rapper’s style may be viewed as feminine to some, but he believes that Thug’s style is luxurious.

Check out more of what Trinidad Jame$ had to say during the sit-down, including his thoughts on Drake’s Views.
