Dancehall artiste Dexta Daps rolled out his highly-anticipated album “VENT” on all digital streaming services on Friday, July 31st 2020, after teasing fans for weeks.
Back in June, the Breaking News singer shared on Instagram that “2020 has been a challenging year for us all…we all have our own ways of VENTING and today I will start to reveal mine through songs and visuals off my new album “VENT” which will be released later this July“
VENT featured 16 tracks and features the likes of Beenie Man, Spice, Ikaya, Taurus Riley, and more.

Directed by Rahim Visram, Episode 1 entitled Heartless, we meet Dexta and his Bride-To-Be at the altar. As he begins to share his vows, he finds himself reminiscing about her deceitful ways. Before saying I do, Dexta confronts her ulterior motives. What could have caused him to possibly leave His Bride-To-Be standing at the altar in a state of dismay?
Episode 2 takes an intoxicating spin as Dexta Daps rebounds during quarantine. In an effort to take his mind off of leaving his deceitful bride at the altar, Dexta reconnects with an old flame Lady Ice from 2017. Notorious for bringing it to the owner, Dexta knows that he can count on her to relax his mind. With travel restrictions in the way and the pandemic of 2020 keeping him locked down in Jamaica, connecting with her seems to be even more challenging.
The restrictions prove to be too much and Dexta decides to take it to Facetime and reconnect with Lady Ice. The conversation gets intense and as things start to get heated between the two The WiFi cuts out. Frustrated Dexta makes a quick move to let loose…. It’s time to kickstart the rest of the summer.
In Episode 3 the Artist is back with another unique spin and recently announced that he would be taking a week off from his Visual Series which has been tied to the release of various singles from the Album and instead release a special Audio Only episode titled “COMMERCIAL BREAK”
Episode 4 takes a violently chilling turn when Dexta Daps past collides on screen. In the season finale Dexta Daps ex-bride returns with vengeance. After being left at the altar and unable to benefit from Dexta’s growing stardom, she and her new boyfriend link up with a familiar face & an existing jealous enemy of Dexta’s from 2017’s Intro The Short Film to plot against the artist. Their plans get interrupted when Dexta’s baby mother “Wicked Gyal”, who has been recovering from her own set of traumatic problems with Dexta since the summer of 2019 takes things to the next level.
With Dextas unfaithfulness last Summer causing her to spend months contemplating suicide and more recent problems arising in her life due to the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic she has now decided to get her revenge by plotting on the artist, his enemies & targeting all of the women who have crossed his path intimately over the years.
