Dancehall artiste, Sheldon ‘Aidonia’ Lawrence was given bail when he appeared in the Gun Court yesterday on charges of illegal possession of firearm and shooting with intent.
Aidonia has been given bail at a sum of J$500,000 and was ordered to return to court on February 1 when his matter will again be mentioned.
Lawrence has been in police custody since January 5 in connection with the shooting of a man earlier in the day.
The artiste was brought before the courts after his lawyer filed an habeus corpus application in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
