Barbee extends herself in I Love U Anyway

Barbee

It’s Barbee like you have never heard her before, in her latest single I Love You Anyway. The single which has an international feel portrays a side of Barbee that is now generating a positive feedback.

Barbee herself is enjoying the kind of vibes she is getting from I Love You Anyway. In an interview with Splash, the singer shared that she was “loving the single”.

“With this song, I get to be myself. I took some time to find myself as an artiste,” she shared as she went on to point out that “people are loving this song, they can’t believe it’s me.”

That the single has an ‘international feel’ is no accident as the two power players involved in producing the single have already made their mark in the biz.

Sean Due Lashley and Garfield ‘Oney’ Webb – a Jamaican who now resides in Mount Vernon, New York – put their creative energies together to come up with the winning formula for the single.

Sean has produced for artistes such as Jay Z, Alicia Keys, Meryl Carter, TOK, Total, Cl-smoove, Mr Vegas, E-40, Jadakiss, Baby Cham among others, while Webb has built up a powerhouse through his It’s Not A Game (ING) Records.

Oney was oozing with confidence when he spoke to Splash on his reasons for working with Barbee.

“She has what it takes. She has the ability, charisma, vibes… everything to be a star,” the producer praised.

With this confidence, they will be going all out to ensure they take Barbee’s career “all the way to the moon”.

The video for I Love You Anyway was shot a few days ago on locations in Brooklyn and downtown Manhatttan under the direction of heavyweights Cinemania Khiny – who has been credited with working for Snoop Dogg, directing a top sitcom and also a movie and Harold Taylor – who has worked with artistes like Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.

Sean Due told Splash that they will be going all out in pushing the video for the single. “The video will be circulated to MTV, BET, Tempo and other top video channels,” he shared.

Barbee, christened Faith Jackson-Eselebor, announced her presence on the music scene with the Junior Kelly combination single, Missing You, which even now is still enjoying a good buzz on the international scene.
