Busy shoots 'Peace Reigns' video

Deejay Busy Signal opted for a simple video shoot on Sunday to effectively get across the message for his latest release, the acoustic song ‘Peace Reigns’.

Directed by Melissa Llewellyn, who worked as a producer on his medley and One More Night videos, Peace Reigns was shot in the rehearsal and recording segment of the Big Yard studio on Westminster Road.

In some shots, guitarist Robert Browne is seen playing with smoke in the background, creating a mystical feel to the set.

An emotional Busy Signal sings lines such as: “I wanna see a brighter day/ I wanna see a better day.” He also sang about being tired of seeing war and crime. The song will be featured on his upcoming fourth studio album, D.O.B (Difference of Busy Signal) which will be released on July 13.

Peace Reigns was released last week during the siege in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston.

In an interview, Busy Signal said, “the inspiration came from things I see going on from the past, the present thing, life around me just inspired that song.”

“Right now Jamaica need fi clean up, fix up, me alone can’t do it, but I still try by releasing this song,” he added.
