The fast-rising star Keyba Sparkes birth name Francess Thomas is projected to become a household name by Early 2021 due to traction she is receiving from the release of her first Single WULL IT which is a melodious, emotional and relatable musical masterpiece.
Keyba Sparkes who is originally from Thompson Town and Chapleton Clarendon, Jamaica is passionate and focused on her career in music. She received her formal education attending Victoria Primary school and then Thompson town High School.
There she excelled academically and otherwise hence, was named Head Girl and valedictorian of her graduating class in her final year. She was also successful in her external examination and obtained nine (9) subjects at the CXC level with 5 distinctions.
She then went on to the University of Technology, Jamaica to study for a Bachelors in Business Administration with a major in Administration and Information Systems Management and a Minor in Marketing. There she also held leadership positions becoming Chairperson of her major seminar group.
The artiste who worked in the Financial sector also balanced as an entrepreneur and a mother when her love for music pushed her to start pursuing it professionally. This humble, fun-loving, intelligent and very grounded artiste is currently working on several new singles with various producers with hopes to create an EP project in the near future.
Her music is influenced by many past and current musicians who she admires including Bob Marley, Garnett Silk, Lady G, Tanya Stephens, Lady Saw, Chronixx, Protoje, Lila Ike, and Koffee to name a few. Keyba Sparkes stated and I quote “I want to be successful in music not for the fame but to be able to use my talent to uplift, inspire and comfort others in the world”. She is definitely going places and I just know she is a global star in the making.
