Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint while she was in France for Paris Fashion Week over the weekend.
“Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed,” said Kardashian West’s spokesperson Ina Treciokas said in a statement to Billboard. Police told the BBC that the robbers stole valuables worth several millions of dollars, with most of the items being jewelry. Authorities noted that “The total amount is still being evaluated.”
Kardashian West’s robbery marked an unfortunate end to what had probably been a week of fun with her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner. For Kanye, it meant an unexpected, but necessary end of his set at the first Meadows Festival. The “Champions” rapper was performing “Heartless” when his assistant pulled him to the side to tell him that Kim had been robbed. The “Slow Jamz” performer then announced to the crowd that he’d have to end his set early before leaving the stage shortly afterwards.
After a traumatizing experience, Kardashian West has left France.
