The sexual abuse case of dancehall deejay Mr Lexx has been postponed once again. The deejay’s case was mentioned in court in Queens, New York, yesterday. He has been rescheduled to appear in court on December 14. He first appeared in court on November 2.
The deejay, whose real name is Christopher Palmer, was arrested and charged with rape in New York, United States of America, on October 16. Mr Lexx was arrested after a woman reported to the police that he sexually molested her. It is alleged that the woman was in her room at a hotel in Queens when the deejay forced himself on her. The police arrested the deejay the following morning.
When contacted by THE STAR previously, Mr Lexx’s manager, Earlton Clarke, was still confident that it would be proven that he is innocent. In a previous interview with THE STAR, Clarke said, “The matter is now before the court and we have all faith in the judicial system.”
The deejay, who is known for songs such as Full Hundred, cannot leave the United States until the matter is settled in court. Mr Lexx’s most recent song out now is Buss A Wine on the European Swing rhythm.
