CONTROVERSIAL Deejay artiste Vybz Kartel was arrested and charged for possession of a small quantity of ganja last night.
The artiste was arrested by cops from the Flying Squad after they searched a hotel room Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, occupied in New Kingston and found the contraband.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Bureau Senior Superintendent Elan Powell confirmed the arrest and said the police would be issuing a statement later today.
He said the Deejay was being interrogated in relation to other matters.
