Wine pon di edge – Girls in Montego Bay show Busy what they're made of

Busy Signal

Margaritaville Montego Bay seemed unusually crowded last Thursday, but this was to be expected as not only was it ladies night, but it was also a holiday weekend and one of dancehall’s most popular deejay’s was to make an appearance.

Before 11 o’clock patrons started to open the dance floor as DJ Sunshine played a slew of hits that had people dancing up a storm.

At 2:30 a.m., it was announced that Busy Signal would be taking the stage in about another hour, but patrons were not bothered by this revelation as DJ Nicco was at the turntables playing music that had them dancing like people who were truly celebrating the coming of the long and well-deserved holiday.

Intense heat

By this time, the club became packed, generating an intense heat. Dancing partners could hardly be differentiated in the thick crowd.

When Busy Signal took the stage, the ladies who had clearly anticipated seeing him, huddled toward the front and sang along with him as he went through a number of his hits. Screaming fans tugged at his pants, grabbed at his legs and touched him at every possible chance.

Lighters, waving hands and whistles were in order when Busy performed hits such as Step Out Nah go a jail and Private Number.

But the climax of the night came when patrons begged Busy to come on stage with him.

The DJ who seemed to be unable to disappoint his female fans pulled at least five ladies on stage with him, each determined to wine for him.

Back it up

As he belted out the lyrics to his hit Pon De Edge, the girls who had taken the stage each proceeded to back it up on Busy, showing him what they were made of.

With all the ladies who were vying for a chance to display their skills, Busy, who had earlier stated that he was just recovering from illness admitted in a moment of honesty that he would not be like some men and stated, “Me cyaan manage so much of unnu.”

Although many patrons left after Busy performed, there were still many party fans who were only getting started and continued to do their thing on the dance floor till the wee hours of the morning.
