(Kingston, Jamaica) Having gained local and international attention from his Christmas hit single “Send Me Some Success” on rapper Wiz Khalifa’s Black & Yellow version, dancehall deejay Trawma is on to the next one this time with a high energy club banger entitled “Clap Clap” on U.I.M Records Sanction Riddim. Known for his uplifting social commentaries Trawma switches gear on “Clap Clap” as he creatively drops suggestive lyrics exclusively to his female audience with lines like “Shake yuh mama’s gift, in other words what she gave yuh, time to misbehave yuh”.
While Trawma was not present in the official medley video for the Sanction Riddim his management team at Sunrize Productionz are still confident the new year is off to a good start. In a statement it was disclose that Trawma is present recording new tracks for Miami based Coast To Coast jock DJ Purfyia who is in the process of releasing a mix tape for him, while thousands of miles away in the French capital of Paris DJ Res-Q known for video mixing has also taken to Trawma’s music and has been playing his video’s via a live online stream.
Born Laurence Roberts, Trawma first came on the local scene with his single collab “Keep Ya Head Up” alongside label mate Shaneja.
